There have been many natural disasters around the world and even here at home. The snowstorms of this winter in Texas and storms in the North East United States are examples of our cold winter. We have given supplies during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and Ike. We provided emergency supplies of toiletries, clothing, and other items for the Children's Shelter of Galveston. Now we have been helping with the earthquake in Haiti. Please give funds to help us defray the cost of shipping for these supplies. Supplies can be donated but it costs about one dollar a pound for the shipping. We collect black shoes for Uganda so that children can go to school. There are many refugees from Sudan who are in Uganda, and we are assisting one of these schools. We are always working on a new project and the needs are never ending. Please help us provide these things if you are able.
CTOMA is working with other 501c3 charities, churches, and other organizations to extend the reach of our charity work.
Over Spring Break 2010 in our own city, we are providing 750 meals for children who need food. This program is administered by First Baptist Bryan, The Bridge Ministries of Bryan, Save Our Streets in Bryan, and CTOMA. We have provided a new refrigerator to The Bridge for preparation of the food. This is just one of the local projects that CTOMA is supporting. We want to express our thanks to the Kroger Store in Bryan.
